We store the messages you send to your AI agent, including text, images, PDFs, and other documents you upload. These are necessary to provide the agent service, maintain conversation history, and enable your agent's persistent memory.

We collect anonymized usage analytics to improve the service, including:
- Feature usage patterns (e.g., skills installed, channels connected)
- Session duration and frequency
- Device type and operating system version
- Crash reports and performance metrics
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide the service: Your messages and files are processed by AI language models to generate agent responses.

3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate OpenClaw:
- OpenRouter: Routes your messages to AI language model providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) for processing. Messages are sent to these providers to generate responses. OpenRouter's privacy policy applies to data processed through their service.
- RevenueCat: Manages subscription billing and purchase validation. RevenueCat receives your anonymous user identifier and purchase receipts from Apple.
- Apple: Processes all payments through the App Store. Apple's privacy policy governs payment data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on dedicated servers hosted by Hetzner in the European Union. We implement the following security measures:
- Encryption at rest: All sensitive data, including API keys and credentials, is encrypted using AES-256-GCM.
- Database isolation: Multi-tenant PostgreSQL with Row-Level Security (RLS) ensures your data is completely isolated from other users.
- Encrypted connections: All data in transit is protected via TLS/HTTPS.
- Access controls: A 5-layer permission system restricts access to your agent workspace.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data as follows:
- Active subscription: Your data is retained for as long as your subscription is active.
- After cancellation: Your data is retained for 30 days after your subscription ends, allowing you to resubscribe without losing your agent's configuration and memory.
- After 30 days: All personal data, including chat history, files, agent memory, and account information, is permanently deleted from our servers.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time, even during an active subscription. You can also instruct your agent to forget specific information through the chat interface.
- Export: You can request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Correction: You can request correction of inaccurate personal data.
